Abstract

The present paper aims to perform a historical and dogmatic analysis of personality rights. On the first part, there is a study regarding actio injuriarum as a relief for the Roman concept of injuria, and then analyzing contributions from Roman jurists, as well as ius gentium jurists and Pandectists. On the last part, there is a verification on whether personality rights have been introduced under French and German codifications.
