Abstract

The Author wishes to elucidate the role of Good Faith in the Roman law, through the perspective of the model of Law in a sense of ‘art of the good and equitable’. He focuses the relation between two concepts of the civilian tradition from the Private Law. The model of the ‘good man’ in a sense of the ‘honest man and the principle of good faith’ in the context of the law of contract.
