Abstract

The main goal of the present work is the study of torts on the internet in the context of the overwhelming development of media and information technology carried out, especially, in the last two decades. The complexity of contemporary social relations, in the framework of the technological innovations catalyzed with the advent of the internet, dispelled the classical conception of contracting because its accomplishment is dissociated from the material element that supports it. It is in this context that the great revolution of the e-commerce is being generated, which carries in itself a rich source of legal issues to be resolved. In summary, the research seeks to establish parameters for torts on the internet, showing that technology does not create areas that are immune to the application of law, which must be flexible enough to adapt itself to new situations and not create obstacles to the free development of the internet network.
